Question : Can the sheriff take my adult son's computer because of my rent arrears? I am in rent arrears to the tune of 3 months and I have just been served a letter of demand to pay everything by 31 January. If I am unable to make any payment I assume they will take this matter further and could get a warrant of execution against me , allowing the sheriff to take items in the house I am renting. Are they allowed to take my son's computer (desk, screen, computer, mouse, keyboard, headphones) which I bought for him? The computer set up is in his room
