Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Gauteng
Good day my name is Johnny.
I recently sighed a offer to perches on a late estate house brakpan. The offer was accepted by the seller and also signed by the estate agent, the Otp was then sent to the attorneys that deal with that estate and a formal offer was typed by the attorneys and again sighned by myself, the estate agent and the seller. I got 100% bond approved by FNB.
Now almost a month later I am notified that a offer subject to sale that was made before my offer is still active. This offer is more than 1 month old and has no expiry date on it the other buyer didnt sell hes house yet.
What are my rights here?
How can a offer that is more than a month old still be valid without te terms being met?

Hi there,
I see that you haven't made a payment for the question, but I'm going to assist you a little. If you want to ask a follow-up question, please make the required payment.
I think that you need to get a copy of this other offer, so that you can read it and see what it says. I think that you then need to see a lawyer who can read it, and give you advice in person!
I can't refer you to a specific lawyer, but I can direct you to www.southafricanlawyer.co.za, where you can find a list of qualified lawyers in your area who will be able to assist you further!
