Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Gauteng
Hi, i entered into a 2 year lease agreement with an option to purchase the property for a stipulated amount on 1 April 2025. The lease expires 31 March 2025. The notice period is 3 months notice both from the tenant and landlord. My landlord said that their financial situation has changed and they need to urgently sell the house, they have listed the property, and the agent has started bringing people to view the house and they want to do open days. Is this allowed at any point in the lease or are they supposed to wait for the notice period. My landlord is refusing to give me notice now and wants the lease to continue while the agent shows the property and does open days on Sundays.
