Question posted in the Insurance Law category relating to Gauteng
I was in an accident on 21 January 2019 and had full comprehensive cover with Auto and General. I was assured that everything has been covered and that everything has been sorted out. Yesterday, 11.06.2019, I received a court summons from the 3rd party that was involved in the accident for which Me and the driver that hit me are beign sued for the damages that was sustained by the 3rd party during the time of the accident. My question is: Is this something that I need to handle or was this supposed to be sorted out by my insurance company as I had full comprehensive insurance at the time of the accident? I have 9 days left until I need to answer the summons, and I am not sure what to do. Please can you contact me regarding this. My email is ***BLOCKED-EMAIL-ADDRESS***.
