my car broke down and a friend took it to someone he know who does mechanical work in Cradock. Hendrik works from his house. He told us that we need to a new enjin for the car. We had to pay the money upfront into his bank account for the labour(half) and the engin. He started working on the car and everytime we asked how far his was he had a different excuse why he has not finished working on the car. I live in Aliwal North so i could not go to him to see what he was doing. After about 6 or 7 months of waiting I went to fetch the car. According to him the car was fixed but traveling back to Aliwal the car smoked heavy which according to him was not a problem as I was to take it to a garage to put onto a machine that would set the enjin settings right. He did not have this equipment. After the car was put on the machine it showed according to them that it was not a new enjin as Hendrik said he had put in the car. I would like to find out what or if there is anything I can do to either get my money back from Hendrik. As i have to pay again to have my car fixed.
