I have been in a relationship with a guy for almost 2 years but I recently decided to leave him because I realized it was not a healthy relationship for me. I have been emotionally bullied and slapped with the excuses it was jealousy. But last year the emotional bullying was so bad I was doing badly in varsity and after I found out I was pregnant I had depression and never went to lectures and eventually dropped out. Around this time I found out he was cheating and not even using protection (I have proof of everything I say). But he apologized and said that in his culture if we have a baby out of wedlock he won’t be able to marry me because I loved him I went to get an abortion as he insisted on it and he wasn’t even there for me physically again stating abortions are against his culture so he can’t go. My main focus is now that I’m not with him I’m regretting everything and letting him get to me mentally like that. And I just want to go back to varsity. I was on a bursary but that’s all gone. He’s someone that thinks he can do anything because he has money so I want him to pay for my university tuition. Do you think there is even a chance to claim for this? It’s just heartbreaking that men go around doing such and thinking it’s okay. I’ve suffered so much a text cannot even explain it all.
