Question posted in the Family Law category relating to Gauteng
My children have been placed into temporary care with their grandparents by the court.
This was done without any good reason or any evidence supporting that my children are in need of protection.
We (my partner, who is the biological father of both children, and I) have been to court 3 times as ordered, and no progress what so ever has been made. The court order states that The Family Advocate, The Counselor assiting, a social worker from DSD and Child Welfare Tshwane, have to investigate the matter urgently and report back to the court, and none of the orders have been carried out. There has been no investigation, no contact whatsoever from any social worker or related professional, when attending court the matter only gets postponed, we were supposed to appear in court 05-05-2020 and the matter was postponed once again due to the fact that no investigations were done.
It has been 7 months and they have done NOTHING.I find this extremely unfair, even cruel. Not only are my rights as a parent being violated, but my children are now being denied their right of having their parents.
Can you please give me some advice on what to do?
