Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to KwaZulu-Natal
I have been renting residential house for 17 yrs with no written lease agreement. I never defaulted in my rent, however my circumstances changed in July due to covid19 I was retrenched with no income. I paid 70%of my September rent. The landlord asked me to vacate the premises by 30th September. What do I do

You should engage with the landlord about a discount because of COVID-19 and that you've lost your job, or you must vacate the premises and move somewhere that you can afford.
