Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Western Cape
I'm in the process of buying a house.
The current owner of the house i want to buy, has an alarm system (which he owns).
In the agreement with the real estate egent, it is mentioned that the alarm is included in the purchase price.
A few days ago, he phoned me.
He asked if he can take the alarm with him.
I then told him yes - at that point, i had forgotten about the clause in our contract.
Next day, i did some research, and learnt that that clause is in the contract.
Also, i learnt that it is expensive to put in a new alarm.
My question:
1) We love his house. Can he witdraw from the sale completely at this stage (we signed the papers and did the legal paperwork months ago already - but have not moved in yet).
