Hi, i would like to get a little advice on a contract issue.

I have a contract with a pre school which requires 2 months notice and november and december not being able to use as notice months. I did not know this and submitted 3 months notice for September, October and November. My notice was ignored and i submitted a new notice in October. The principal rejected this saying she needs 2 months notice and November could not be used. I forwarded my original notice which stated that my sons last day would be 28th November 2014. i sent this on the 20th October and the principal ignored this again until 8 November saying his last day wouldve been the 31st October. should she have responded in time i wouldve taken my son out at the end of October, however she did not deal with this and accepted my payment for November and did not ask my child to leave. She has now threatened to withold his report and work for the year if full payment for december is not made. Do i have any rights and should she not have dealt with this rather than avoiding it till in November?
