Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to Gauteng
Good day.
Your advice will be appreciated.
Our landlord is threatening us to take my Father's vehicle for outstanding rent (please note that my Father is not on the lease, only me and my husband), he has also threatened us that he will bring people to throw our stuff onto the pavement and also threatened to get the red ants involved to evict us. He has switched our power off (which he controlls in his house) and got aggressive when a meeting was held (no appointment was made for this meeting). We are in process of looking for a other place which is more affordable and not a health concern (this place we are renting has black molt in almost every room and when it rains the water pours down the walls). We've also has issues with the power where it blew our appliances (once again he said it's not his problem).
Please advice what we should do as I am scared things will get ugly rather very soon.
