Question posted in the Criminal Law category relating to KwaZulu-Natal
My husband made an online purchase from a verified seller but the package was delivered empty. The insurance which he paid the company to take out for him was not paid for when he tried to claim this. It ws agreed upon by him and the seller upon purchase that the extra cost would include insurance. Subsequently my husband lost +-R3000 for the cost of the item alone. We phoned the seller who was rude and arrogant and refused to anwer the question as to why insurance was not taken out when he told us it would be. He even tried to insinuate fraud on our part. We proceeded to issue summons but were met with a return of non-service from the Sheriff. What does this mean and this is the next step in the issue?
