Question posted in the Family Law category relating to KwaZulu-Natal
My husband died intestate and its going to be six years since the estate is to be finalized, all I know is that I am the executor of the estate but my attorney is handling everything. Whenever I ask him about the time frame as to when things are going to be finalized always blames it on the masters office, its really getting a bit frustrating. Also I have not seen ay bank statements of my husband's deceased account, and was wondering if I can view it. I was also told that any money that comes in late into the account he is entitled to a certain % of it. Is there also anyway that I can possibly check with the masters office as to what the delay and if my attorney is really assisting to finalize or is he using delaying tactics and what could be his intention. Cause from what he told me the last time that they wanted an updated executors letter which he did but he always comes up with excuses, please advise what I can do to speed up the process.
