Question posted in the General Law category relating to Eastern Cape
Hi, we are a social aquatics club, the only one in the country and we are wanting to do a fundraising event and I just want to check the rules regarding it. We are wanting to obtain prizes donated by our club members for a draw and will require the members to sell a booklet of tickets. The draw will be an evening event with a mini concert by a local musician and food stalls at a venue. There will be advertising on our social media pages. We have never run any form of competition or draw like this before. We are in the process of registering as a non profit - documents have been submitted. Please advise if this is legal and what our restrictions would be or what we have to do procedurally?
