Question posted in the General Law category relating to Gauteng
To whom it may concern
My daugher Michelle fell ill and ended up in hospital diagnosed about 6 weeks later with cancer. She asked her sister Laurika to move to her house to take over the household and also look after her 2 sons, aged 14 and 17.
Michelle gave her sister Laurika full right to her bank account in order to fullfill the responsibilities involved, firstly seeing to it that the 2 kids has everything they need and also keeping their outdoor/after school activities normal as possible. Giving them extra attention and care to assist with the immense burden they carried having a sick mother in hospital. Laurika also did monthly payments, keeping the house maintained and all the general other expenses. this was all done with Michelle's blessing.
Unfortunately for all of us Michelle passed away 4th October 2024, We as her immediate loving caring family did all arrangements for memorial and carried all the cost with no regret.
Michelle's stepmother Tina has now stepped in and is claiming from me, Laurika's father, an amount of R120,000.00 to be paid into her account. If I don't do that she will open a case of theft/fraud, issue summonss for the amount unlawfully utilized.
