Bought a car in December 2023. Within the first 30 days of owning it, it went back twice for faulty breaks and a tyre pressure warning. The serpentine belt snapped within 30 days of ownership (After it was serviced before being sold to me) and left me stranded in the middle of nowhere. After that, the water leaks started showing clear damage to the cooling system - which they repaired as it was within the legal 6 months warranty required by MIOSA. More and more issues arised.

On further investigation due to a Oil Pressure warning I received, a Worskshop found pieces of the sepentine/V belt in the oil pump due to the V-belt making it's way behind the crank pulley through the oil seal. They did not investigate the issue properly as I reported (Oil level warnings etc) when the belt snapped. The dealership now refuses to pay or even pay partly as liability for damage (Apart from warranty claim) caused by a belt that snapped within ONE month of purchase and after a service and damaging the cooling system and engine components 10 months later.

Can I hold the dealership liable for this payment?
