I am a Conveyancer.  My Seller passed away 1 day after registration of transfer.  The family are aware I am holding the proceeds of the sale in my trust account pending the appointment of an executor and the opening of an estate account.  I have received a letter this morning from an attorney who has been instructed to attend to the winding up of the estate and one of the partners in this firm will be the executor.  Letters of Executorship are not yet issued and obviously no estate bank account has been opened.  Pending the opening thereof these attorneys have now requested I pay the sale proceeds into their trust account.  What is my duty in this regard.  Should I not retain the funds until an estate bank account is opened?
