Question posted in the General Law category relating to Mpumalanga

I was retrenched in July 2015 and I bought furniture on credit. I went to them and told them but they said no credit life insurance was taken out. I was not aware of that since it was never discussed with me. I assumed that like any other creditor, the insurance is automatically charged to my monthly instalments. If not I must be given an option to take one. They then said I should pay R800.00 instead of R1200 but it was still too much because I had no income anymore, but I paid anyway because they threatened to repossess my goods. I've missed September and October's payment because I cannot afford that amount anymore and now I've been instructed to pay before month end or they'll definitely come collect the goods. What are my rights regarding all this?
