Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Free State
i brought a house in may and signed everything after FNB has approved us. we even took the house under the previous owner by agreeing on paying rent while we wait for the house to be registered. i signed everything the lawyers. last week the bank suddenly called me and said that my bond has been declined because they say i first need to sell my other investment property. i am confused because it was never stated to us before that we have to sell our property first before we can be approved of the bond. is this possible and how do i move forward as we have done some renovation in the house already.
