Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to KwaZulu-Natal
I require assistance with the following questions:
1. Can my landlord not agree to fix a window which was already faulty when we moved in? Is the landlord allowed to state "put paper if the window does not stay open as it will cost me R350,00 to fix the window"?
2. Can my landlord discuss matters regarding the lease with a minor?
3. Is my landlord allowed to restrict us from laughing at certain times?
4. Can my landlord accuse me of matters without valid proof?
5. Can my landlord tell me not to park my car in the yard without valid reasons despite this not being forbidded on the lease?
6. Is my landlord allowed to approach my guests with issues instead of speaking to me about it?
7. Can my landlord forbid me from allowing certain race groups into the yard?
8. Can my landlord chase away my guests for no valid reasons?
9. Can my landlord not have proper locks on the door?
