Question posted in the Divorce Law category relating to Gauteng

Good day. I have been married in COP in July 2016 and my wife 18 years younger than me initiated divorce 10 months into marriage. During which time she had instructed me to get rid of most of my property liabilities. She thereafter insisted I become the applicant which I did. Now she is contesting the Divorce and wants a 50% claim on all assets but her attorneys do not want to factor in liabilities.  Can they do this? Please advice. I may need to engage with a Divorce advocate to conclude this Divorce.  Thank you.
