Good day

I would like to find out . do i keep my origional copies of my certificates or does the company keep them

my situation is that i am an apprentice and they send me to college , i pay for the schooling and then they will pay me back when i pass.

i know that a company can keep the origional copies but when i leave they must give them back. i am however scared that they wont give them back to me , as i just also found out today that if i quit my job or get fired i will have to pay the company to get my certificates from them . is this correct or not ? the other thing is that i do nopt have a contract with the company but i have been working there for three years .
