Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Gauteng
Hi, I had my matric dance last friday and a bunch of the students left bags with their suits and dresses etc in the library for safe keeping while we went to the afterparty. The teacher in charge took them in her car over the weekend to make sure they werent stolen. The issue that my dates bag has dissapeared when i went to collect it this monday. The teacher says she does not know what happened to it. I asked her if we could check the security footage, she told me they did and found nothing. I later asked if i could see the footage myself and she told me she promises they will check this afternoon, which goes against what she told me yesterday that they had already looked at the footage. She keeps delaying and doesnt seem to care that a bag with an expensive dress went missing in her possession. My question is, am i legally allowed to demand that i see the footage?
