Good day
my landlord gave me notice to increase rental , I accepted the increase on condition that the many defects on the unit was repaired .
After asking them to do the repairs they gave me a 2 month notice stating that the unit needs to be emty in order to repair . i acccepted this, in the interim i found another place that i could not pass up and gave them a 20 day notice wich they accepted with out conditions.
on the 01/09/2019 we moved out and an exit inspection was done , it was found that the unit was clean and undamaged but they told me because i moved out before the 2 months they will only return my deposit with out interest in 21 days . Can they do this ?
We painted the place on the walls that was not damaged ( damge due to poor maintanance by land lord ) and only on the 04/09/2019 they sent me a message saying the paint is a diffrent colour ( this is because we did not paint the entire unit due to the damages ) and they will deducting for that . can they do this if nothing was stipulated in the Lease ?
