I currently have a maintenance order that requires me to pay maintenance to my ex-spouse. My son is turning 18 next month and he will still be at school next year. The maintenance order does not stipulate how or what maintenance needs to paid regarding my son when he turns 18.
He is currently staying with his mom. She currently uses my maintenance contribution to pay for medical, schooling, clothing, food and accomodation.
Questions:
1. Can my ex-spouse require my son to pay her towards the cost of accomodation, even though he is not working?
2. Do I have to pay for him to live with his mother and therefore contribute towards her home rental?
3. Does my son have to approach me to determine what maintence he would require after turing 18?
4. What is reasonable maintenance requirements for a child over 18, who is at school and not working?
