Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to Gauteng
my landlord rented his house to us for R5000 from 01/02/2014 but now has sold the house we renting to his son 01/08/2014, the deed of sale is not signed yet. now the son want to charge us R6000 a month and is charging us the R1000 rent from when we moved in 01/02/2014. and the agreement on the contract we signed with the landlord is that we dont pay lights or water since it was included in our rent now the son is charging us from 01/02/2014.
is this fair
