Good day

last year I told my friend to take a credit card so we can trade forex and pay it back Buh unfortunately we didn't. And he's the one who expect me to pay the full amount while he also used money to buy a phone and other stuff using the credit card, now he's family is threatening me to take legal actions  while we didn't even sign a contract during all this process. Does they stand a chance?

we only had an agreement talking

we didn't sign any contract
