Good day
We have booked a ship cruiser holiday ( 50th anniversary) for Sept. 2020
Deposit was paid beginning of 2020 ( before Covid 19)
Now , the the tour is uncertain and the rest of the booking money must be paid in June , or I will forfeit the deposit
They offer a voucher for the future . I dont want the voucher
The bookng company van not guarantee the outcome
At this point of time fligts from SA is rather glimm
I have requested a cancellation and refund due to the Pandemic
The booking company reason that I will forfeit my deposit

Where is the tour company based? Are they in SA?
If so, you can cancel any advanced booking in terms of section 14(2) of the Consumer Protection Act, and get your money back.
