Question posted in the Landlord Tenant Law category relating to Gauteng
Good Day
A friend of mine has been asked to leave her property due to her not having work during lockdown, when she stated she has no where to go he informed her he will be removing her doors and Windows.
Is this allowed during this lockdown she has undertaken alot of verbal abuse from her landlord and of course emotional abuse due to the situation and having no income or place to stay.
I need advise please.

Hi there,

The landlord is NOT allowed to take the law into his own hands, and he is not allowed disturbing her use and enjoyment of the property by threatening to remove the windows.
She can report the matter to the SAPS and lay charges of harassment against the landlord.
