Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Eastern Cape
Good evening sir,
I sold my house cash via a agent who instructed the buyer to pay the money to the account of the lawyer he uses to close his deals. The lawyer has lodged the papers with the deeds office in February/March and the buyer has moved in and even extended the house since she paid cash for the house and it owes only R87 in rates but now the lawyer has not deposited the money to my bank account. According to the information I've obtained from my research, the money was supposed to have been deposited seven days after the papers were lodged with Deeds office.
Any advice?
