Question posted in the Criminal Law category relating to Eastern Cape

1. A case of assult was opened against me.

2. police station gave me a warning to appear in court

3. I appeared before court and the cased was postponed for the 03 December 2020 i was given a warning to appear in court(not a written warning)

4.First time offender

5. Age 25(Male),Fully employed

6.Case was Opened by an Ex partner(Homosexual relationship)

7. I was legally represented by Legal aid SA lawyer on the day i was in court


a) i want to know what to expect on the 03 November 2020?

b)The possibilities of being improsoned/ Being Fined?

c)The Possible outcomes

NB: The court postponed the case saying that they need to investigate first as there was insufficient information on the case

please help
