Question posted in the General Law category relating to Gauteng

Hello, I've been working for my company 5 years, I've never signed a contract. Last year I demanded one and I've signed it.

Today I received a new contract where it states if I decide to leave I need to get 4 months notice.

. I'm not happy with this because I'm underpaid and they know I'm busy looking for other work.

Can they fire me?
