Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Gauteng

I rented a property in Craigavon in 2022. I moved out in Feb'23. when i moved in I told the agent that the house was very dirty and i also did a snag list of all the items and I also sent pictures of the how the dirty house. He painted the house but that was it. I paid from pocket to clean the house. All the things he said he would fix did not happen. I also had to spend money to clean out cockroaches and he never paid for any of it. He then told me i had to maintain the cleaning of the pool, i had no idea how to clean the pool, he then said he would get the pool to assist. When it cam to moving out i provided a details snag very smiliar to the one I gave when i moved it. In the document I mentioned snags i found broken and is still broken. Of my deposit he paid back in 2 parts but the balance he kept and charged me for the painting he did before I moved in (that is the most crazy thing ever), the items in my entry and exit he charged me for like leaking tap, fixing gate lock, kitchen cupboard hinges, gas horse, door locks, shower door wheels and call out fee for the pool guy. I have rented before this is more extreme bazzaar and craziest thing ever. No matter how talking I do I am getting now where  in stead he is rude , defence and explaining trying to explain himself that he is going to keep the balance of mt deposit and i am not getting it back. I have evidence of the messages i sent on all these things.. please can you advise me on a way forward ...thank you J
