Question posted in the General Law category relating to Gauteng

Good day, I have requested my NATIS document for my vehicle which is fully paid on 21st December 2023.  I was informed that it will be delivered to the closest NEDBANK BRANCH to my physical address.

MFC dispatched the document and delivered it on 27th December 2023 without any notification to me. On the 28th December 2023 I phoned MFC again and they did not inform me that it was delivered.

On 8th January 2024 I phoned again and was informed that it was delivered by DSV to SHOP 6 NORTH PARK MALL, which is a vacant shop for more than 12 months according to Google.  (Nedbank and MFC are affiliated and surely the agent should have seen that the address entered is not valid).

The DSV courierd delivered the NATIS documents on the 27th December 2023 to the empty shop in Northpark mall at 12:08 and NEO signed for it.  I went to the Mall, enquired at all the nearby shops who is occupied whether the document was delivered maybe to them, without any luck.

I have signed a contract with WeBuyCars to buy my paid off vehicle on the agreement from MFC that the NATIS will be delivered on the 8th January 2024. Up to today 18 January 2024 I still do not have the NATIS and therefore are in breach of the contract with WeBuyCars due to the non delivery of the NATIS documents from MFC.

I did write an e-mail to MFC and stated that they will be held liable for any money that I may loose due to this gross negligence from their side.

What and how can I obtain a newly printed NATIS document as this is urgent and MFC does not respond to any of my communication.

RegardsHannetjie
