My wife was conned out of our rent and groceries money, acting out of anger i opened a charge of armed robbery against the guy and when he went to the police station he said he had sold us muti and i ended up being charged for defeating the ends of justice. i was locked up and having no money for rent or food we could not raise bail, i was taken to westville prison and my wife had to sell whatever she could to raise rent, and bail money. my first appearance in court there was no legal aid available on that day and i elected to defend myself- can i now ask for a legal aid lawyer?
