Question posted in the Family Law category relating to Gauteng
I'm 16 years old turning 17 on the 1st of November, i haven't been given an opportunity at education since I passed grade 7. I feel hopeless and my parents haven't been fulfilling their duty to me as their child. My dad has had physical abuse outbursts and both my parents are emotionally abusive. They work from home and never allow me to go work for myself as I am not a student.
I have a younger sister who I tend to as if I were her mother, she also is not in school and hasn't been her whole life. She turned 10 on the 24th of June. I've got a job opportunity that will pay me well and I have a place to stay given I decide to leave. My parents are conservative Muslims who will obviously not consent to this
What legal action can I take in this situation?
