Question posted in the Family Law category relating to Gauteng
Hi I'm a female turning 15 in a few weeks, I live in Johannesburg with my mom. I want to know if I'm able to get emancipated, emancipated from my mother. My father is barely in my life and my ex-step dad and mom are here and my mom is my legal guardian.
I want to be able to live independently, get a job, go to school and make my own decisions in my own space. I feel uncomfortable and want to separate from them...the only way I can describe my parents together are demons. They bring out the worse out of each other, things have gotten physical on us and together.
I don't have money but want to earn my keep so I can live by myself, for myself. I don't know what to do I've thought about this for years now and Im at my break point after the divorce and now they are trying again, basically there is a a toxic cycle and I want to leave it. I've never taken action but I really need help right now..
