Question posted in the Consumer Protection Law category relating to Gauteng

I am writing to you with regards to my withheld payment from SDS protection. I got payed on the last day of the month as per my contract. I was supposed to get paid on the 29th of June and only heard on the 30th from Control Room that the payment date has been changed to the 1st for us who get paid on the last day of the month, the are other people who get paid on the 8th and 15th of the month. I didn’t have a site and I got a message Friday(28th June) that Saturday(29th June) I should report in a new site, I didn’t go to work Saturday since I didn’t receive my salary, Monday(1st July) I waited for my salary again, but still couldn’t get it. I double checked with my colleague who get paid on the same day as mine, he said he just called Arnold(HR) and he said he will get his money at 00:00 but for me I won’t get it I have to go and see him. Tuesday(2nd July) I went to the office and Arnold charged me for my absenteeism and booked me a hearing for the 5th July, I signed for the charge because I just wanted my salary. When I arrived on the 5th he said he called me to inform me that the hearing has been postponed to the 8th July but I didn’t get his call. I was very frustrated and angry because I’ve been borrowing money to travel to the office so I gave them their uniform and asked for a resignation form because I was fed up and couldn’t come back for the postponed hearing. Thereafter Arnold(HR) and my manager promised me that I will get paid on the 8th July. I waited again on the 8th and on the 9th(yesterday) I checked with Control Room Supervisor(Peter), he told me that my salary was on hold, but released, waiting for the big boss to pay and that I will probably get it today(9th July). I even double checked with my manager(Sam) he also told me that he spoke with Finance my money is loaded on the system it’s only the big boss to release it today(9th July). I waited and waited until today(10th July). I texted Control room first I said can you please ask someone to speak to the big boss to release my salary, he said no one can talk to the big boss including HR. I then texted my manager and told him I haven’t got paid still. He called me and said he was in a meeting with the big boss and Paymaster my money is ready just waiting for the big boss to press the button to pay me and he said he acknowledged that he owes me and will pay me if when nobody knows but I must wait patiently. Can you please kindly assist I am an honours student at University of Johannesburg I just need my salary so I can focus on my studies that’s my only concern right now. I reported this to CCMA but they're taking forever and ignoring my texts.
