Question posted in the Family Law category relating to Gauteng
We are 4 sisters, 2 live on property that was my parents but now they are deceased. There are 3 houses on the property; the house my parents built and lived in and 2 smaller houses my sisters build. The property is registered as a Close Corporation and we are all members, 25% each. I am however concerned because the 2 sisters occupying the property does not pay rent but only enough to pay certain expenses like their own electricity, security but the rest are paid from a trust fund. As such the property are not maintained and are falling in a state of disrepair. If they paid rent to the Close Corporation there will be enough money to maintain the property. Since I am also not living there shouldn't I be entitled to receive 25% of profits? There is no profit because they do not pay enough. The property must be handled as a business not as their private free housing.
