Question posted in the Malpractice Law category relating to Eastern Cape
My brother got stabbed in the side so the knife alo peirced his lung so when he went to hospital the first time they drained the fluid in the lung and stitched the wound up. So he had to go back to clinic to remove the stitches but before he could go the stitches came loose and he started bleeding badly you could see his ribcage so when he went back to hospital they said the would was infected after they did not immediately provide him with the necessary medication to prevent infection they then took out the stitches and left the wound open for 3 days before he had to return to clinic so when he went back the doctor said he needed to be stitched up again so they stitched him up he had to go to hospital yesterday for a check up then they found out he had an abscess and puss in his lung which was not there before so now they admitted him to hospital. I would like to know if this is concrete grounds to sue them for negligence??
