Good Afternoon

Please can you help me.

i HANDED MY NOTICE INTO MY BOSS ON THE 1ST APRIL. he did not accept and negotiated a counter offer,
He has duck and dived me until this morning, when I insisted my resignation and gave him another letter dated 1 april to 30 June as per my agreement. HE NOW WANTS TO HOLD ME TO WORK UNTIL 17 July.
The new company has accepted a 3 month notice period but will not wait 3 and a half months.
i AM THE ONLY BREADWINNER AT HOME. My husband is unemployed and we are under debt councilling since October. I cannot afford to lose this new job. Please can you advise my rights
