Question posted in the General Law category relating to KwaZulu-Natal

I am the Director of an Accounting firm. I entered into a 3 year service level agreement commencing 09/12/2018 with a Municipality to provide accounting services. On 07 September 2019 I issued them with a letter of demand for my outstanding fees and then summons 30 days later. I then obtained judgement on 09/11/2019 as they did respond and my attorneys are currently in the process of issuing a writ of execution to attach assets.

I request advice on cancelling the contract and claiming for one years fees in addition to my outstanding fees based on the following:

I am concerned about the risk of being victimised if I continue with the contractmy numerous requests for payments were not taken seriously I had invested my time, energy and resources into this 3 year contract all in vain.i had endured financial stress and strain while awaiting payment.the breach of contract has left me demotivated and I do not trust that my payments will be made timeously.

please advise.
