Question posted in the Family Law category relating to Western Cape

I have been a house husband for our 3 boys for the past 13 years. My wife is a professional medical specialist obstetrician gynaecologist.

In 2004 I gave up my business in Cape Town moved to Somerset West both for wanting to raise our children in more of a rural setting and for my wife to open a private practice further to my mother in law, also residing in  Somwrset West were diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

My wife wants a divorce and although we were married ANC with accrual, I do mot have any means of generating an income and all efforts to enter the job market was unsuccessful thus far.

1. How do we value my wifes practice when compiling an asset value list.

2. What claim do I have for spousal maintenance.

Regards

Johan
