Question posted in the Family Law category relating to Western Cape
Good day.
I am a 36 year old mother of 4 children ages 19, 16, 9, 7. I have been divorced from the father for 4 years now and there was no problem with me taking the kids for weekends and school holidays. We were married in Muslim rights and divorced in Muslim rights. There was no divorce decree with regards to who will take custody of the kids.
It was a real messy divorce. And the reason that I left him was for the verbal, emotional, physiological and social abuse that he has put me through.
I got married again and since have been getting my life back on track. Now he has said that he has sole custody of the children and I have not been served with anything regarding this matter.
I want to have custody of the 2 minors
