Good day.

There is an individual whom, I suspect, will try and blackmail me to get out of a legal mess he put himself in.  He wants help from me and I refuse to give it as he commited a crime against a friend of mine and now wants finantial help fom me.  I did not have any part in the crime at all, but he will trump up to tell my employers I think to put me in a bad light.  So, my question is.  I know blackmail is illegal but how do I stop him from going that route as even though his accusations are false, it will still put me in a bad light at work and my standing at work is important to me.  Not sure what to do.  Just trying to be prepared.

Kind regards.

Lewellen
