Bought a Property with a Business Partne...

Question posted in the Property Law category relating to Western Cape

Bought a Property with a Business Partner so the Property is on both names and both own 50%. The Partner have not Paid any Transfer  and Lawyer Fees i had to pay it all.  At the Moment i have been paying the Bond by Myself and havent received any amount from Partner.  I am Living in the property and now Partner wants rent for his Half from me but havent paid anything.

What i want to know is may he ask rent from me without Paying his half of Bond and Transfer and Lawyer Fees?
