Question posted in the General Law category relating to Gauteng
HI. My wife used to earn an extra income into my household. This changed when she was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer in April. Due to me having to "carry" all the household costs but the unpredictable medical bills too one of my accounts has run into arrears. I've comunicated with the creditor telling them about my situation stating that I am willing to pay every oppertunity I get, but cannot make any promises as to how much or when. I am now being threatened with being handed over. I am making payments whenever I can but it is usually underpayments. I want to know could they hand me over even with me making these payments?
