Good day,

Hope all is well?

We are planning on getting a lawyer if we cannot resolve the issue which I will explain below...

OK so, my boyfriend and I have an 8 month old son. He has another son from a previous relationship, let's just say it lasted a night. His other son is currently 6 years old.

The problem is, the mother refuses for him to see his son because he cannot give her the exact dates when he would like to see him because his work requires him to work on the weekends (not all weekends) but lately they have been really busy at work and he can't just leave because at the end the day he might end up losing his job. Yes, this might sound like an excuse but I hardly get to see him on the weekends due to the fact that he works in another province (approximately 2 hours away)

The mother wants set dates to allow him to see his son. Which I understand however, if they fire him then how else will he be able to support his son?

Currently he earns R21000.00. From my understanding, the mother earns the same. They were never married and she is making life difficult and it's not about them but about their child...

He pays her R5500 a month for maintenance (and that excludes extra school activities)

I want to know what we can do for him to see his son when he's off and how much he is supposed to be paying.

I'm not implying he shouldn't care but she doesn't seem to understand or comprehend that he has another child to take care of.

Now he can't even see his son and at the end n of the day she is just punishing her son from keeping him away from his father.
