Question posted in the General Law category relating to Gauteng
My matter was heard in South Gauteng High Court on 26 to 31 May 2014, The Acting Judge requested both counsels to submit long heard of arguments by end of June 2014, which both counsels complied with.
The court was required to decide on the contractual arrangements which governed the employment relationhip between the plaintiff and the employer, affter the intial fixed term employment contract ha come to an end. The plaintiff remained in the employ for more than 12 months.
It is now th 4 August, 2014 and I have not heard any communication wrt to the next steps, for e.g. when, if it is so, will counsel deliver closing arguments, and at least a sense of when the court will deliver judgement.
I have asked this question from my own counsel, and i do not get satisfactory answer, if any is provided at all.
1. What should I do, in this case
2. How do I report misconduct on the part of the defense to the Bar, and Do I have to wait for the court to deliver its finding before I report, misconduct to the Bar
3. Does withhodling information on the status of my court case, constitute misconduct by my counsel, and what can I do under the circumstances ?
4. I would like to submit the invoices and statements of account fot an independant review, what are the court proces involved, and how do i go about it.
Kindly appreciate that the matter has already set me back more than R300,000-00 and I am looking for things which involves minimal costs to me.
