please can someone assist with regards to a rental issue i am experiencing. we were out of a lease from June and our landlord gave us a notice to move in 3 months. this was due to non payment of water and rental bills. the reason is we were experiencing financial difficulties and advised the landlord that we will try to find a place. on the 3rd Spetember they issued an eviction order which was delivered to my work, this gave us until the 31st OCtober to move out. we have not been able to find a property due to credit checks and affordability, number of people exceeds the requirements, some places are not in liveable conditions. I have 3 kids and 2 of them start exams in this week, the landlord wants us to vacate the property by Thursday, i have explained that we dont have anywhere to go and she advised its not her problem. please can we receive some advice on the way forward - can they remove our belongins and lock us out of the property? they have said they already have tenants that are moving in on Saturday. it is a stressful situation and i fully understand we are in breach but need to ask for an extension in order for us to find suitable accomodation. urgent assistance required.
